Hope Family Medicine

Opened in July 2008 to provide high quality, cost effective health care by providing information and choices to our patients.  We believe we are a small part of the health care team and want to be health care partners with the patient providing alternatives, not just our expert opinion. 

Who We Are

Teresa Marshall, MSN, ARNP, FNP - Has a varied  background.  She has worked as a medical assistant,  firefighter, police officer, and nursing instructor; all of which have been a part of the greater plan to bring her to this place.  She believes our health care system has gotten out of hand, and is hoping by offering the most up-to-date information to her patients, that together we can keep the cost of health care reasonable.  She was born in Spokane where she grew up the daughter of a firefighter and day care director.  She ihas been married to her high school sweetheart for more than 30 years.  After graduation, she became a medical assistant at a family practice residency and discovered her love for medicine.  Upon moving to the South King County more than 20 years ago, she decided to apply to the Physicians Assistant program at the U of W.  In her attempt to get into the Physicians Assistant program at the U of W, she became the first and only female in a local fire district.  She then went onto to become a police officer.  She did that for 7 years and then decided to once again pursue her medical career.  She took her undergraduate nursing program at Tacoma Community College, where she currently teaches as a nursing instructor.  She obtained her Masters Degree in Nursing and Family Practice Certificate from Gonzaga University.  She feels that practicing as a family nurse practitioner is what she was destined to do all along, and now she has realized her dream by opening this clinic.
